M.I.H. in your Direct Sales Business!

Direct Sales Successful WomanI love to read in the quite of the morning. The sun is just spreading its light promising a beautiful day, and the air is filled with the rhythmic breathing of sleeping children. This morning, I decided to read through some article clippings I had saved in a special folder. I am a collector of stories, pieces that give me goose bumps, and ones that I know need to be shared.

And, I found it. The paper is a bit yellowed from time, but the story is vibrant. It brilliantly sneaks into your soul and enlivens your spirit. It’s about a young man in high school with a very bright future thanks to his focus on three letters…M.I.H.

Through the words of the story, you can feel this kid has a passion for excellence in everything he does, particularly his sport of choice, wrestling. During his junior year, he had what most considered an amazing wrestling season and ended up hoisting the second place trophy at the state championships. While friends and family cheered…he planned.

The day after the state finals, he was back in the same old gym working out in the same old sweats…but with one small change. He had placed white tape on each of his three middle fingers, and on each piece of tape was a letter. M.I.H.

Each day, his friends, family, and teammates all asked about the letters and their significance, but he refused divulge their meaning.

He kept the letters on his fingers all year, and he trained harder than ever, until he again found himself at the state tournament. This time the outcome was slightly different and not a surprise to anyone who had witnessed his daily determination in the gym; he was crowned state champion.

Finally, he was able to share with everyone that while they cheered his second place finish the year before, he vowed to himself to get better – to play full out and be the best he could be.

Displaying wisdom and vision beyond his years, he developed his clear goal, designed a plan to achieve it, and created a tool to provide focus.

He knew that if he really wanted to be the best, it was up to him. He was determined to Make It Happen. M.I.H.

Today, design a visual anchor for yourself. Print the letters M.I.H and place them on your dream board, create an M.I.H. screen saver, frame the letters for your desk, and post them on your mirror, refrigerator or where ever you’ll see it every day.

Challenge yourself to move beyond your present success with your direct sales business.

Commit to playing full out and living at your optimum level.

    I love this post! I remember chatting with you some time ago about this article when it first came out. I loved it then but more so now because of the belief to M.I.H. does work. Since then I have been M.I.H. and loving my success. Thanks for sharing this again as a gentle reminder to keep moving forward.
